Samsung still doesn’t know why some Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones catch fire. Everybody knows that the problem is with the batteries, but engineers at Samsung Electronics haven’t been able to replicate the problem despite thousands of people trying to have the same experience that many Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphone owners have had when their phones suddenly exploded and caught fire.
Despite being one of the most high-end smartphones from Samsung and directly competing with iPhone 7, nobody knows why the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phones catch fire or what triggers the batteries to explode. As mentioned above, the engineers at Samsung Electronics haven’t been able to make their batteries explode while using their devices even under trying circumstances. So for now, according to this NYTimes report, Samsung has no idea why the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phones of some users are catching fire.
Since nobody knows what the problem is the production of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phones has been halted. This is going to have a big impact on the future Samsung devices at least in near future as long as people can remember that Samsung was unable to figure out why it’s flagship phones were catching fire. If they don’t know why the phones are catching fire, this means they cannot solve the problem and if the problem remains unresolved, it can also be carried forward to other smartphones from Samsung.
What if any smartphone from Samsung has the probability of exploding spontaneously? This way, having a Samsung smartphone can be a very dangerous thing. A smaller problem is that the batteries are exploding, but a bigger problem is that they don’t know why they are exploding.
