Space tourism is just round the corner

There has always been a news of some Russian millionaire funding some US space expedition and then going to space as a tourist, but the actual space tourism is just round the corner. Although logging on to MakeMyTrip.com and booking a trip around the moon isn’t yet a possibility that is a couple of years away, the news is that Elon Musk’s SpaceX may take to space tourists around the moon in 2018. The statement on the website says:

We are excited to announce that SpaceX has been approached to fly two private citizens on a trip around the moon late next year. They have already paid a significant deposit to do a moon mission. Like the Apollo astronauts before them, these individuals will travel into space carrying the hopes and dreams of all humankind, driven by the universal human spirit of exploration.

Travelling to space, at least given the current technology, isn’t as simple as visiting your kith and kin in the US or Canada or Singapore. You will have to go through special mental and physical training. Of course, it is going to cost a lot so only individuals like those Russian millionaires will be able to enjoy space tourism for at least 50-60 years and after that, maybe people will be flying their own personal space crafts around the solar system. Then, instead of having a road rage, we will have space rage.
