If this link is to be believed, a solar-powered plane landed in Spain after completing a journey of 71 hours and 8 minutes – a three-day flight across the Atlantic.

The plane named Solar Impulse 2 landed in Seville in southern Spain. It took off from New York City on Monday and landed in Spain on Thursday.

All in all, the plane flew 6,765 km according to the official website and it reached a maximum height of 8,534 m. The wings of the plane stretch wider than a Boeing 747’s wings. These wings are equipped with 17,000 solar cells and it is from these cells the propellers and batteries get power. During night the plane runs on stored energy.
