One of the original mobile phone companies Nokia was purchased by Microsoft in 2014 for $7.2 billion (its device division, actually). Ever since then Microsoft has been in the process of wrapping up the line of Nokia phones. But according to this report, the Nokia line of phones might be relaunched in the near future, although the promoters aren’t in great hurry. The revelation was made at the ongoing Mobile World Congress in Barcelona by the Nokia CEO Rajeev Suri.
If you have been using mobile phones since the early 2000’s there is more than 99% chance that you have used a Nokia mobile phone. But despite being a pioneer, it got left behind especially when Apple introduced the iconic iPhone smartphone. For that matter, even BlackBerry couldn’t keep up with the new entrants.
