Lenovo K6 Note full specifications and features

Lenovo has been launching its K6 series of smartphones in India for some time now and one of the recent entrants is the Lenovo K6 Note smartphone that is priced at around Rs. 13,000-15,000 depending on which online website you refer to. Lenovo claims that the latest smartphone is being sold off line and only later on it will be made available on the usual online retail outlets.

Lenovo K6 Note is a bigger phone comparatively with 5.5 inches (13.97 cm) full HD display, although pixels per inch is just 401. Overall, in terms of hardware, the smartphone is on a slightly heavier side. Some reviewers have commented that Lenovo K6 Note looks like Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 3.

Lenovo K6 Note hardware and software specifications

Lenovo K6 Note is an all-metal body device. As mentioned above, it has a 5.5 inch full HD display but sadly Gorilla Glass is missing. The display further has 1080x 1920 pixel dimension, with approximately 72.7% screen-to-body ratio.

The IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen supports 16 million colours and it also supports multitouch.

The images and text look quite good and the display on the screen is bright enough to be used outside in the natural light.

The smartphone weighs around 170 g. The smartphones thickness is 8.4mm.

Lenovo K6 Note runs on Qualcomm’s MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 processor with 1.4 GHz speed, which isn’t exactly cutting-edge. Even the Android version is 6.0 Marshmallow.

The CPU is Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 and the GPU is Adreno 505.

Connectivity options include 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS. The smartphone also comes with an accelerometer (this technology tells the phone how it is being moved – used for gaming and all), gyroscope, proximity sensor and digital compass.

Using the fingerprint sensor at the back you can lock individual apps in Lenovo K6 Note. This can be a good function. Another interesting feature is the “dual apps mode”: this lets you use apps like WhatsApp with two accounts.

The rear camera is 16 megapixels with face detection autofocus and a dual LED flash. The facing camera is 8 megapixels. The camera features include geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, high definition video recording and panorama photography. The Fingerprint Snap feature allows the fingerprint sensor at the back to click photographs.

It offers basic VR experience with TheaterMax technology and an ANT VR headset.

The smartphone has the standard 3.5mm headphone jack and there is also a second microphone placed at the top of the phone for making calls.

As is the case with almost all the smartphone brands these days, the Lenovo K6 Note smartphone is available in two variants:

  1. Smaller one: 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage
  2. Bigger one: 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage

The modular microSD card slot can be used to add a further 120GB of storage space.

It comes with a non-removable Li-Po (lithium polymer) 4000 mAH battery, which can be a bummer. Also it does not come with fast charging

In the beginning Lenovo is introducing just the smaller smartphone but the company says that the bigger smartphone will be available too, very soon.

The smartphone is coming in dark grey, silver and gold colour variants.

The Lenovo K6 Note smartphone comes with a power adapter, a micro-USB data cable, a headset, a warranty card and a user manual. Some packages may also include a back cover and a screen guard.
