Maybe not at the moment but soon you will be able to download videos, images and webpages in Chrome for Android so that you can watch them offline. Google will be soon rolling out the update version 55.0.2883.84 of Chrome for Android that will allow you to save media and webpages offline for later viewing.

The update will also be fixing some pre-existing bugs. The major changes are mentioned on this Google blog post:

  • Download music, videos and full webpages for viewing offline
  • View and share downloads within Chrome (not exactly clear what this means)
  • See misspelled words highlighted in text fields (usually this is already available in Chrome for PCs and laptops)
  • Improvements in contextual search UI

The new update will be gradually rolled out and it may not be available on every device immediately.
