Would you like to change the icons of your Android phone homescreen? No matter what phone you are using, it matters how your mobile phone looks to your eyes, and icons and wallpapers of your Android phone homescreen make a big difference.

Although there is no straightforward way of changing icons of your Android phone homescreen, there are many third party apps available to achieve the task. One of the best apps I have been using these days is called “Backdrops”. When you visit the Google Play link for Backdrops, you may think that it is simply a wallpaper changing app, but it is more than that.

Once you have installed the app, it doesn’t just change wallpapers, it changes the entire theme. An Android phone theme may include homescreen and lock screen wallpaper, the icon set and the sound profile (your phone ringing sound and notification sounds). The Backdrops app has scores of themes that you can download and install and most of these themes are free. But this is just one great aspect of Backdrops.

If you want to install just the wallpaper, you can do that. If you want to change the icons of your Android phone homescreen, you can do that. If you want to change the overall font of your Android phone, you can also do that.

Once you start downloading and applying themes, they are saved in the “My themes” section.

So how do you change the icons of your Android phone homescreen?

Long press anywhere on your home screen and it pops out the following menu (provided you have installed the Backdrops app)

Insert image

Tap “Change or edit theme”.

This will launch the Backdrops app. Tap on the Menu icon (three vertically arranged horizontal lines) and from there tap “Edit my current theme”.

This is where you can change the icons of your Android phone homescreen.
